About the Journal
Vision
The UW Journal of Social Sciences offers a blend of experiences to young researchers, educationist and academicians to express and publish their original and genuine unpublished work. The journal provides a platform for academicians and policy makers to foster new paradigms in the field of Education and social sciences.
Scope
With broader scope and interdisciplinary approaches UW Journal of Social Sciences (UWJSS) seeks to add to debates in the wider range of disciplines. It promotes research through contributions from multiple disciplines with diverse methodologies and theoretical frameworks. It welcomes research articles which cover broader areas of social and humanities sciences. Such articles should employ rigorous and innovative research methods, diverse perspectives and critical thinking.
Manuscripts from following branches of social sciences can be submitted to the UW Journal of Social Sciences: Education, Economics, History, Linguistics, Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, Psychology, Political Science, International Relations, Mass Communication and Sociology.
The journal considers following types of scholarly work for publication in the field of Social Sciences:
- Empirical research articles
- Theoretical Articles/ Review articles (Meta-Analysis)
- Commentaries
- Research Notes
Purpose
The main purpose of the UWJSS is to invite the novel work of policy makers, educationist, social engineers and doctors, university teachers, post – graduate research scholars in seeking excellence in the field of education at national and international level.
This will be a double-blind peer-reviewed journal. The aim of the WJSC is to publish articles that contribute significantly to the body of knowledge in the field of social sciences. It will publish articles and case studies relating to Education, Economics, History, Linguistics, Islamic studies, Pakistan studies, Psychology, Political Science, International Relations, and Mass Communication.
HEC Recognized Journal
We are glad to share that UW Journal of Social Sciences has found good place in this newly developed system of HJRS of Higher Education Commission and placed in 'Y' Category. Since December 2018, the journal has been a prominent platform for the researchers to initiate their research in the discipline of Social Sciences. With every issue the improved quality is praised by many national and international academic peers.
We do hope that now that the journal has been categorized by HEC, we will host even more, quality research of the Researchers nationally and internationally. Our next step is to focus upon X category from HEC and maintain our quality.
